Privacy Policy

Fox Creek Foundry LLC (“Fox Creek Foundry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit foxcreekfoundry.com, contact us, join a product update list, or purchase and use Heron.

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, and the contents of a support or contact message. If you join a launch or product-update list, we collect your email address and the product you asked about.

When you buy Heron, Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, collects the information needed to process the transaction, such as your contact, billing, and payment details. We receive limited order information needed to provide your license, delivery, support, and refunds. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

Our website may also receive basic technical information automatically provided by your browser or hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time of a request. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

How we use information

We use information to respond to you, deliver and support our products, send product emails you requested, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain and secure our website, comply with legal obligations, and improve our products and services. We do not use your information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate our business, including our website host, email and communication tools, and Lemon Squeezy for checkout, taxes, receipts, and payment-related support. These providers may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Heron and your files

Heron is designed to work with files on your computer. Your documents remain on your device and are not uploaded to Fox Creek Foundry by the app. If you choose to store files with another service, such as a source-control or cloud-storage provider, that provider’s privacy policy applies to that service.

Heron Share

If you choose to use Heron Share, Heron encrypts the document content using a passcode you specify before the encrypted content is uploaded to our servers. A viewer must enter that passcode to decrypt and view the shared document.

Your passcode is not sent across the network by Heron or the viewer, and we do not receive or retain it. The document remains encrypted on our servers, so only people with the passcode can view its contents.

You can remove a share at any time. Shares expire by default seven days after they are created; when a share is removed or expires, its encrypted document content is deleted and is not retained on our servers.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including support, accounting, tax, legal, and security requirements. You may ask us to delete information we hold about you, subject to records we are required or permitted to retain.

Your choices and rights

You can opt out of product emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, use our contact form. We may need to verify your request before responding.

International visitors

We are based in the United States. If you use our website or buy a product from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

Children

Our website and products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact
